Since the lock down began, there has been a massive rise in domestic abuse cases – with killings connected to domestic violence rising 50%. The National Domestic Abuse Helpline saw a staggering 120% rise, with more people not coming forward out of fear.Tragically, so far at least 19 women have been killed by men during lock down and the police are answering roughly 100 domestic abuse calls per day.’ “Please be concerned about your friend or individuals in general living in isolation with their abusers and the challenges they face keeping themselves and their children safe”
